Raised as a Jehovah's Witness, Sylvester learned, at a young age, how to speak to and engage audiences. By the time he reached adulthood, he was sharing his life story, the lessons he'd learned as a longtime journalist or his desire to encourage individuals-young/old, black/white and "other" to accept their mandate to use their individual gifts and passions to make the world a bit better than it was when they were born.
Whether he’s speaking to young or older audiences, talking race, religion, politics, social justice, education, writing, media, hip-hop or the need to invest in disenfranchised young people, Sylvester stresses the potential we all have to make change-large or small. If you’re looking for someone who will inspire, inform and excite your audience, Sylvester Brown, Jr. is your speaker!
